What is My Investment?

Joining our Puppy School is an investment in your puppy’s future happiness and well-being. Here’s what you need to know:

Duration: A 4-week commitment
Cost: The program is priced at $165.00 for the entire duration
Schedule: Classes are held on Tuesday nights from 6:15 PM to 7:15 PM
Location: Hope Island Vet Surgery
Puppy Age: The program is designed for puppies aged between 8 weeks to 14 weeks

What Your Puppy will Learn

• Socialisation: Your pup will interact positively with other dogs and people, building confidence and learning proper social behaviour.
• Crate Training: We’ll teach your puppy that their crate is a safe and cozy space, aiding in house training and providing security.
• Bed Recognition: Teaching your puppy where to rest helps create a sense of safety and boundaries at home.
• Basic Commands: Sit, lie down, and stay commands are taught by using positive methods for effective communication.
• Toilet Training: Your puppy will learn to go outside by recognising cues and establishing a routine.
• Bite Control: Gentle training helps puppies learn appropriate chewing behaviour.
• Focused Walking: Training to keep your puppy focused on you during walks, beneficial for active families.
• Recall Training: Teaching your puppy to come when called, even in distracting environments, for their safety.
• Releasing Items: Training your puppy to let go of unsafe objects on command, preventing accidents and establishing your authority as their caregiver.

What Will I Learn?

• Utilise the crate to establish cues for your puppy’s bedtime or moments of relaxation.
• Discover methods to create a dedicated and secure space specifically for your puppy, giving them a sense of control over their environment. This is particularly valuable for families with active children.
• Master the ability to recognise calming signals in your puppy, enhancing communication and strengthening trust, which is vital for building rapport and effective learning.
• Learn how to be the primary source of entertainment and engagement for your puppy, fulfilling the role of their “Entertainment Officer” and enriching their daily activities.
